Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal has finished a multiyear renovation, with the final updates set to be revealed on October 1. The property, which is part of the Hilton Honors program, now features redesigned rooms, suites, villas, and casitas. According to Hilton, these spaces have been updated with new lighting and decor aimed at increasing comfort and functionality.

Paul Duesing, who originally designed the resort, oversaw the redesign by blending modern elements with traditional Mexican art and furniture made by artists from across Mexico. One feature includes metal sea turtle shells above beds created by Preciado Iluminacion from Jalisco.

Rooms now include in-room bars that highlight Waldorf Astoria’s beverage program. The color palette throughout guest accommodations has shifted to lighter tones contrasted with darker accents.

Outside of guest rooms, several public areas have also been renovated. The Waldorf Astoria Spa’s salon has been turned into what Hilton describes as "a tranquil sanctuary for rejuvenation and pampering." Other changes include updates to the adult pool area and enhancements at The Beach Club restaurant, which will offer new culinary experiences.

"The reimagination of Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal was guided by a deep respect for its storied legacy and the rich cultural heritage of Mexico to ensure a singularly authentic luxury experience," said Maria Valeria Nowotny, Hilton vice president of operations for Caribbean, Mexico and Central America.

Additional upgrades during this period include the Agave Study at Peacock Alley—a signature bar for the brand—alongside Travesia’s nine-course taco tasting menu and a new coffee shop called Neutral Coffee Lab.

The resort remains popular among Hilton Honors members. However, recent changes in points redemption have affected affordability: In September 2025, Hilton increased points pricing for award nights at this property up to 250,000 points per night after a second devaluation within one year. Cash rates start around $1,094 per night or require 250,000 Hilton Honors points per night.

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal continues to appear on many must-visit lists despite higher prices following its renovations.
