British Airways has announced plans to begin nonstop service between St. Louis Lambert International Airport and London Heathrow Airport starting in April 2026. This move will make St. Louis the airline’s 27th destination in the United States.

The new route is scheduled to launch on April 19, 2026, with flights operating four times a week—on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The outbound flight from St. Louis will depart at 10 p.m., arriving in London at 12:05 p.m. the following day. The return flight from London is set to leave at 4:25 p.m., arriving back in St. Louis at 9:30 p.m.

This development comes three years after Lufthansa began its own nonstop service from St. Louis to Frankfurt, providing travelers in the region with another direct transatlantic option.

The addition of this route will allow passengers not only direct access to London but also connections across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East through British Airways and its partner network.

Travelers interested in booking these flights using points or miles have several options available. American Airlines AAdvantage miles can be used for British Airways bookings due to their partnership within the Oneworld alliance; however, taxes and fees for trips involving London may be significant. Additionally, various credit card reward programs such as American Express Membership Rewards, Bilt Rewards, Capital One, and Chase Ultimate Rewards offer point transfers directly to British Airways’ loyalty program. Citi ThankYou Rewards does not transfer directly but allows users to move points via Qatar Airways Privilege Club before transferring Avios points onward to British Airways.
