At this time, Disney is offering increased welcome bonuses for new applicants of its Disney Premier Visa Card and Disney Visa Card. These cards, issued by Chase, provide statement credits after qualifying purchases within the first three months of account opening.

The Disney Premier Visa Card has a $49 annual fee and offers a $400 statement credit when cardholders spend $1,000 in the first three months. The card also provides several perks for Disney enthusiasts, including discounts on select merchandise and dining at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, exclusive photo opportunities at the parks with complimentary downloads, savings on select onboard purchases with Disney Cruise Line, and special vacation financing on certain Disney vacation packages.

"The statement credit from this welcome offer can offset a portion of your trip. If you've been considering applying for this card, now would be a good time to add it to your wallet," according to The Points Guy.

Additional benefits include a 10% discount on select purchases at DisneyStore.com and earning rates such as 5% back in the form of Disney Rewards Dollars on direct purchases at streaming services like DisneyPlus.com, Hulu.com or ESPNPlus.com; 2% back at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants and most U.S. Disney locations; and 1% back on all other purchases. These rewards can be redeemed toward eligible Disney vacation expenses or as statement credits for airline purchases using Chase’s Pay Yourself Back feature.

The no-annual-fee Disney Visa Card offers a $200 statement credit after spending $500 within the first three months. This card also provides theme park discounts similar to those offered by the Premier version: "10% off select merchandise purchases at select locations and select dining locations most days at Disneyland and Disney World; exclusive photo-ops at the theme parks that are only available to Disney Visa cardholders, plus complimentary downloads of your photos; savings for select onboard purchases when using the card on Disney Cruise Line; special vacation financing on select Disney vacation packages," states The Points Guy.

Rewards earned with both cards come in the form of Disney Rewards Dollars. For the standard card, these can be used toward shopping or vacation costs with eligible redemptions limited compared to general travel cards. Only the Premier version allows redemption as statement credits toward air travel.

Despite these perks, some competing cards may offer higher reward rates or more flexible redemption options. As stated by The Points Guy: "Because many cards have earning rates and redemption options that surpass those of the Disney Visa cards, these cards are only suited for someone who can take advantage of the exclusive theme park perks and discounts."

Applications for both cards are currently open online.
