The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is set to operate over a quarter of the world's long-haul flights in November, according to Cirium Diio data. The aircraft, which includes the 787-8, 787-9, and 787-10 variants, has surpassed the Boeing 777 as the leading widebody jet for long-distance travel. The 787-9 variant is especially prominent, handling both the highest number of overall services and long-haul operations.

All ten of the longest one-stop Dreamliner flights scheduled for November will be operated by the 787-9. The top route is Qantas’ Sydney to Paris Charles de Gaulle service via Perth, with the same aircraft used throughout. This contrasts with other routes such as Perth-London Heathrow, where different equipment may be used for each segment.

To qualify as a one-stop flight on this list, both segments must use the same aircraft and flight number. Most airlines operating these routes have traffic rights for all legs; Air China holds fifth freedom rights for Madrid to São Paulo and Havana, Qantas from New York JFK to Auckland, Air Canada from Mumbai to London Heathrow, and United Airlines between Hong Kong and Bangkok or Ho Chi Minh City. However, Biman Bangladesh does not have such rights on its Dhaka-Istanbul-Toronto service; it only changes crew and refuels in Istanbul.

Notably absent from the list are Hainan Airlines’ Boston-Brussels-Beijing Capital service at 19 hours 30 minutes and Xiamen Air’s New York JFK-Fuzhou via Tokyo Narita at 19 hours 20 minutes—both just short of making the top ten.

The longest scheduled one-stop Dreamliner flight in November is Qantas’ Sydney-Perth-Paris CDG route at up to 25 hours and 20 minutes block time. Other lengthy routes include Air China’s Beijing-Madrid-São Paulo (25h10m) and Beijing-Madrid-Havana (24h30m), Qantas’ New York JFK-Auckland-Sydney (23h), Air Canada’s Mumbai-London Heathrow-Toronto (22h20m), Air Tahiti Nui’s Paris CDG-Los Angeles-Papeete (22h), United’s Los Angeles-Hong Kong-Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (21h30m) and Los Angeles-Hong Kong-Ho Chi Minh City (20h45m), Biman Bangladesh’s Dhaka-Istanbul-Toronto (20h45m), and Hainan Airlines’ Seattle-Chongqing-Haikou (19h40m).

United Airlines will launch two new daily services in late October: Los Angeles-Hong Kong-Bangkok Suvarnabhumi beginning October 24 and Los Angeles-Hong Kong-Ho Chi Minh City starting October 25. These mark a return to Asian destinations that were previously served by United until their discontinuation in past years. In the year ending June 2025, approximately 1.1 million passengers traveled between the US and Bangkok—with Los Angeles being the largest market—and about 1.3 million flew between Ho Chi Minh City and the US during July 2024-June 2025.

"Both Of United's Two Entries Begin In Late October," notes an industry source.

United's renewed focus on creative long-haul network development began during the pandemic when leisure-driven destinations became more prominent due to changing travel patterns.

Air Canada will also resume its Toronto-Heathrow-Mumbai route on October 25 for winter 2025/2026 after previously switching its Indian destination to Delhi via Calgary due to Russian airspace restrictions. Unlike previous daily frequencies, this service will now run four times weekly amid increasing competition on Heathrow-Mumbai routes following IndiGo's entry into the market.
