In December 2023, LATAM Airlines became the first airline outside the Lufthansa Group and in the Americas to implement AeroSHARK technology on its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. This bionic surface film was installed in São Paulo and has been tested in daily operations since then. The positive results have led LATAM to expand this technology to four more aircraft, resulting in five AeroSHARK-modified planes operated by LATAM Airlines Brazil.

John Wayne Airport has released its revised statistics for August 2024, highlighting a decrease in total passenger numbers compared to the same month last year. The airport reported a total of 947,733 passengers in August 2024, marking an 8.8% decline from the 1,038,889 passengers recorded in August 2023. Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) has completed a significant environmental and safety upgrade by removing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), often referred to as "forever chemicals," from its Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) response fleet.
