Supernal’s four-passenger S-A2 eVTOL aircraft is making its international debut at the Farnborough Airshow this week. For many, it will provide their first glimpse of a new mode of public transportation intended to alleviate crowded roads in and around cities.
Work has begun to establish a network of eVTOL air taxi services in and around Milan, northern Italy. The Dutch Ministry of Defense signed a contract for nine Embraer C-390 Millennium aircraft on Monday at the Farnborough Airshow. American Airlines has conditionally purchased 100 hydrogen-electric engines from ZeroAvia, targeting regional jets as part of its goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Airbus unveiled a new version of its A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) based on the A330-800neo airliner at the Farnborough Airshow 2024. The aircraft, officially named the A330 MRTT+, will be powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines.
