Delta Air Lines is emerging from one of the most significant airline meltdowns in recent history. Over a span of five days, the airline canceled more flights than it did in all of 2018 and 2019 combined. Aircraft were out of position, crew members were unaccounted for, and customers faced difficulties reaching the airline. Hundreds of thousands of passengers had their travel plans disrupted.
Airbus is investing in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) technology pioneer and producer LanzaJet, underscoring the aerospace giant's ambition to catalyze the global development of eco-friendly biofuels. LanzaJet and Airbus did not specify the amount of the investment, but LanzaJet CEO Jimmy Samartzis called the contribution from Airbus "important" for the growth of the company.
EVA Air has placed an order with GE Aerospace for GEnx engines to power the additional four Boeing 787-10s it purchased in May. The Taiwanese airline currently operates 15 GEnx-powered Boeing 787s, and they have demonstrated “outstanding fuel burn, performance, and reliability,” said EVA president Clay Sun. “The additional engines will help us further expand our fleet to manage our growing route schedule.”
Aspen Avionics has announced a partnership with engine instrumentation manufacturer Electronics International to integrate engine instruments into Aspen displays. This development aligns with Aspen’s objective of enabling customers to continually update their displays to enhance functionality.

At dispute was a section of Hawaii Act 311, signed into law in July 2022, calling for the state to adopt rules to regulate air tour operations through permits with detailed monthly reporting requirements.

American Airlines has become the first U.S. airline to introduce an automated tag system for mobility devices, a move aimed at enhancing the handling of wheelchairs and similar equipment across its network.
