Jay-Z, born Shawn Corey Carter, is one of the world's most famous musicians. The rapper was born on December 4, 1969, in New York City and raised in the Marcy Houses, a public housing project in Brooklyn. He began his musical career in the 1980s under the guidance of another Brooklyn-based rapper, Jaz-O.

In 1994, Jay-Z founded Roc-A-Fella Records and released his first two albums, "Reasonable Doubt" and "In My Lifetime, Vol. 1." Both albums were popular and significantly boosted his fame. Over the years, he has released numerous projects that led him to hold the record for the most number-one albums by any solo artist on the Billboard 200 chart with 14 number-one albums. He has also collaborated with artists such as Linkin Park and his wife Beyoncé.

Beyond music, Jay-Z founded several ventures including Rocawear clothing company and the luxury bar chain 40/40 Club. These ventures have grown into multi-million dollar businesses. In 2019, he became the world's first hip-hop billionaire and currently has a net worth exceeding $2.5 billion.

Jay-Z's extensive business activities require frequent travel around the world. To save time, he operates a private jet along with his wife and team. Currently, they use a Bombardier Global 7500 ultra-long-range business jet.

The Bombardier Global 7500 used by Jay-Z was manufactured in 2023 and is registered as N44440 with MAV 4 LLC listed as its official Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) registered owner. According to JetSpy data for 2024 so far, N44440 has completed a total of 61 flights accumulating nearly 150 hours of flight time.

The aircraft's three most visited airports this year are Van Nuys Airport (VNY) in Los Angeles; Camarillo Airport (CMS) in Camarillo; and Teterboro Airport (TEB) in Bergen County.

Bombardier introduced its flagship Global 7500 aircraft in October 2010 after conceptualizing it in the late 2000s based on their popular Global 6000 model but with significant upgrades including a redesigned transonic wing. The certification process took longer than expected due to developmental delays but Transport Canada awarded its type certificate in September 2018 followed by FAA certification two months later.

Since deliveries began in December of that year over 175 units have been produced. The Global 7500 features a larger fuselage than its predecessor allowing for four interior zones within its cabin which can accommodate up to nineteen passengers comfortably making it one of largest cabins available among ultra-long-range business jets today.

Powered by two General Electric Passport turbofan engines providing over eighteen thousand pounds takeoff thrust each helps achieve impressive performance specifications: maximum speed Mach .925 cruising at Mach .85 range seven thousand seven hundred nautical miles service ceiling fifty-one thousand feet among others making it highly sought-after choice within industry.
