Aurrigo International plc, a specialist in smart airside solutions, has reached a significant milestone by hiring its 100th employee. The company’s workforce has more than doubled since it was listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in September 2022. This growth is anticipated to continue as global demand for its Auto-DollyTug increases.

Neil Holloway joins Aurrigo as the manufacturing manager and brings over 45 years of experience in automotive, aerospace, and Formula One sectors. His career includes roles at prominent suppliers such as Abbey Panels and Stadco. Holloway has been instrumental in bringing prototypes into high-volume manufacture and contributed to the development of notable vehicles like the Jaguar XJ220, Ford GT40, and Jaguar F Type.

David Keene, CEO and founder of Aurrigo International plc, commented on the milestone: “Whilst we are predominantly a technology business, people are still our biggest asset, so to take on our 100th member of the team is a really big moment for us.”

Keene noted that demand for Auto-DollyTug—an autonomous electric-powered tug designed to replace diesel tugs—has surged over the past year. The vehicle is currently deployed at six airports worldwide as organizations seek to reduce costs, enhance operational efficiencies, improve safety, and significantly cut their carbon footprint.

“This is just the start,” Keene added. “There are plenty of negotiations currently taking place to deploy our vehicles in other locations. All of this means we need to ramp up production and this is why Neil’s appointment is so important.”

Holloway expressed enthusiasm about his new role: “This is an exciting challenge and perfect for my expertise in taking prototype vehicles into series production.” He highlighted Aurrigo's family-like atmosphere and its potential impact on airport operations as key factors in his decision to join the company.

Aurrigo International plc designs and develops integrated smart airside solutions for the aviation industry, including automated vehicles, systems, and software. The Coventry-based company partners with customers to transform baggage and cargo handling operations while improving safety, operational efficiencies, sustainability targets amidst growing passenger volumes, rising costs, and increasing labor shortages.
