A shirtless man was captured on video running from police on the tarmac of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) early Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 6 a.m. and involved an American Airlines flight.

The individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, reportedly "became irate" and ran onto the airfield, prompting a response from Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers. The video footage shows the man, without his shirt for reasons that remain unclear, being pursued by an LAPD officer.

Matthew Seedorff shared the video on Twitter with the caption: "JUST IN: New video shows a passenger running on the tarmac at LAX Saturday morning shirtless and barefoot. The man is eventually taken down by police. No official details have been released about the incident so far."

In a statement, LAX Police commented on their actions during the arrest: “During their attempt in taking the suspect into custody, a use of force occurred.” The man was subsequently arrested and charged with battery against a police officer.
