Delta Air Lines has announced an upgrade to its mobile application, enhancing travel convenience ahead of the holiday season. The update includes more live updates, a Flex Calendar for price comparisons, and the forthcoming AI-powered Delta Concierge beta.
According to Delta’s News Hub article, the version 7.5 release of the Fly Delta app offers "more flexibility, enhanced visibility, and new self-service features." It introduces a "My Dates Are Flexible" toggle that activates the new Flex Calendar, allowing users to compare fares across dates directly within the booking window. This update aims to give travelers more control and assist them in planning efficiently during what Delta refers to as "the season that brings it all."
A report by Future Travel Experience highlights that Delta’s app update expands "Live Activities" on users’ lock screens to include boarding zone, seat assignment, and baggage carousel information — roles previously limited to within the app itself. The same article notes that the update also adds a Sky Club Tracker for SkyMiles Card Members, enabling tracking of spending, club visits, and progress toward unlimited access — all in-app. These enhancements reflect Delta’s effort to shift tasks away from web browsers into a unified mobile experience.
