Qantas has initiated the first non-stop flights between Perth and Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) on July 12, marking a significant milestone timed with the Olympics in France. The route, spanning 7,702 nautical miles (14,264 km), is among the world's longest non-stop scheduled services and is operated using Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The flight originates in Sydney, making stops in Perth before continuing to Paris. This service marks Qantas' return to Paris after a 20-year hiatus.

"Paris is Qantas’ third European route from Perth," said a spokesperson. "It joins London Heathrow and Rome Fiumicino."

Italy's Neos airline has commenced weekly flights from Milan Bergamo to Amritsar, utilizing an all-economy Boeing 737 MAX 8. The flight includes a refueling stop in Aktau, Kazakhstan. Neos previously used different routes during the pandemic but now operates direct flights from Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino.
