Dan’s Deals has highlighted a new opportunity to redeem Air France KLM Flying Blue points for travel on El Al. All major transferable currencies—Chase, American Express, Citi, Capital One, and Bilt—transfer to Air France KLM, making these points accessible to many travelers. Pricing through Flying Blue is significantly lower than booking directly with El Al or through Delta.

There are no fuel surcharges for these redemptions. Cancellation and redeposit fees are 70 euros. Notably, premium economy is priced higher than business class in this deal.

The one-way award prices are as follows:

- New York JFK, Newark: 45,500 points for coach, 83,000 for premium economy, and 79,500 for business class

- Boston: 44,000 points for coach, 80,500 for premium economy, and 77,500 for business class

- Miami: 52,500 points for coach, 97,500 for premium economy, and 92,000 for business class

- Fort Lauderdale: 52,500 points for coach, 97,500 for premium economy, and 92,000 for business class

- Los Angeles: 61,000 points for coach; 110,000 for premium economy; and 106.5k pts

Additional routes include London to Tel Aviv at 40k pts in biz (Amsterdam & Paris @37k; Madrid @39.5k; Lisbon @45k). This new method generally offers the best way to redeem points to/from Israel. While El Al's business class award availability has been limited historically better non-stop options aren't found thru United/Delta. It appears that American Airlines will resume its Tel Aviv service soon.

Typically those seeking premium cabin seats to Israel book via Europe connections on Star Alliance carriers but this method now offers the best way to book El Al flights.

To find availability use a 'trick' with Flying Blue's award calendar by searching a one-way award choosing the last date they allow you to search (end of month next year) pulling up monthly availability calendar.

ANA Mileage Club offers fewer miles redemptions but requires roundtrip bookings which complicates finding non-stop space both ways on El Al plus only Amex transfers & expiring pts limit their appeal.
