Passengers on a Southwest Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Chicago Midway found themselves in an uncomfortable situation when a woman's hair draped over the back of their seat. Seeking assistance, they approached a flight attendant, who reportedly responded with, “What exactly would you like me to do?”

The incident was shared by a user named Choice_Tie_8838 on an online forum, recounting the response: “What do you want me to say???”

The passengers faced a dilemma on how to address the issue without escalating tensions. Options considered ranged from politely asking the woman to move her hair, pulling it back themselves, or more extreme measures such as using scissors or dipping it in coffee.

Comparisons were drawn with other airlines like Delta and JetBlue, where seatback entertainment screens could have made the situation more problematic. Even on American Airlines, where device holders are attached to seatbacks, this scenario would still be disruptive.

Regardless of the airline, such behavior at 30,000 feet poses challenges for maintaining passenger comfort and etiquette.
