ITA Airways has announced that despite a widespread global IT outage, the company's systems have continued to function correctly due to backup solutions. However, severe air traffic restrictions in Europe and issues at some of the airports where it operates have impacted operations, causing delays and leading to the cancellation of 60 flights. These cancellations include 34 at Rome Fiumicino Airport and 26 at Milan Linate Airport.

"Over 90% of the affected passengers have been rebooked on flights scheduled for today 19 July and tomorrow 20 July," the company stated.

ITA Airways is closely monitoring the situation and has resumed full operations by scheduling additional flights and utilizing aircraft with greater seating capacity to minimize passenger inconvenience. A dedicated number, 0685960153, has been activated for passengers at airports affected by cancellations. Passengers are also advised to consult the APP and the ita-airways.com website to check their flight status.
