This morning, two Delta Air Lines aircraft collided on the taxiway at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. No injuries were reported in the incident, which involved a Bombardier CRJ900 operated by Endeavor (Delta Connection) and an Airbus A350.

The collision caused severe damage to the T-tail of the CRJ900, which was visibly hanging as shown in multiple online photos and videos. The Airbus A350 was preparing for departure to Tokyo, while the CRJ900 was scheduled to leave for Lafayette, Louisiana.

Ground control transmissions recorded by LiveATC indicate that the Airbus crew had requested permission to hold on the taxiway to "work a problem" but were instructed to continue to an intersection before stopping. It remains unclear if this directive contributed to the collision. Following the impact, the Airbus crew contacted ground control saying, "We just hit something on the taxiway. Could you tell us what it was?" The ground controller replied, "The whole tail of that CRJ is off."
