Federal Express Corporation, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., has been recognized as the first and only global end-to-end transportation and logistics service provider to achieve ISO 9001 certification for 30 consecutive years. This milestone is unprecedented in the transport industry.

ISO 9001 is an international standard for quality management systems, awarded by LRQA, a global assurance partner with over 61,000 clients worldwide. Only 0.7% of these clients have received similar 30-year certifications. The award followed a two-month audit process.

The ISO 9001 certification signifies an organization's commitment to consistently delivering high-quality products and services while complying with statutory and regulatory requirements. For FedEx, this recognition consolidates certifications held by its divisions into one global certification, enhancing operational efficiency and unifying quality management across the organization.

This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team members around the world who are committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers every day.”

Kunden Dhillon, director of global accounts at LRQA, commented: “LRQA is committed to shaping a better future for our clients, our people, our communities and our planet through risk management... Maintaining compliance with the international standard for quality management over 30 years is a truly significant feat."

The benefits of ISO 9001 certification include enhanced customer satisfaction through consistent quality standards and improved efficiency by streamlining processes. For FedEx, it reinforces its leadership in the logistics industry.

FedEx continues to innovate with initiatives like DRIVE and Network 2.0. The ISO 9001 certification will support its mission to connect people globally in a responsible manner.
