Sales of preowned single-engine helicopters worldwide increased by 4% in the first half of 2024, while supply grew by 23%, according to Aero Asset's latest report. The absorption rate has now reached 13 months at current trade levels.

“During the first half of 2024, retail sales for single-engine helicopters were up for the first time in a year and a half,” said Valerie Pereira, Aero Asset's vice president of market research. “The supply of single-engines for sale also increased, but pricing remained steady versus the same timeframe last year.”

Europe leads with 35% of the available supply, followed by North America at 25%. Asia-Pacific holds 22%, Latin America accounts for 11%, and the rest of the world comprises 7%. Despite this distribution, North America recorded the highest number of transactions at 63%.
