Lufthansa is marking its 40th anniversary of flights between South Korea and Germany by offering special fares for a month to major European cities, including Frankfurt. These offers are available for travelers departing from eight cities in Korea with Lufthansa Rail & Air.

As one of the longest-serving European airlines in Korea, Lufthansa has maintained uninterrupted flights between Seoul and Frankfurt for four decades. The airline also provides daily connections between Korea and Europe through its sister flight from Seoul to Munich. This year, Swiss International Air Lines, part of the Lufthansa Group, introduced a new service on the Seoul-Zurich route, enhancing travel options for Korean passengers.

Over the years, Lufthansa was the first to introduce large aircraft such as the A380, B747-8, and A350 on its Korean routes. The airline caters to Korean customers with localized services like Korean cabin crew, meals, and entertainment programs. It has also been a pioneer in digital services in Korea by introducing onboard internet service and launching an award-winning app.

Recently, Lufthansa launched Lufthansa Rail & Air to connect Seoul with Europe via KTX trains and international flights across eight Korean cities. Additionally, it opened a check-in counter at Seoul Station City Airport Terminal earlier this year to facilitate travel for passengers using trains or traveling from Seoul to Incheon International Airport.
