Located at Shangri-La The Fort, Manila in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Emirates has opened its first Emirates World Store in Southeast Asia. The 221 square meter retail space was inaugurated by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer. The event was attended by the Philippines First Lady, Mrs. Liza Araneta Marcos; His Excellency Mohamed Obaid Al Qataam Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to the Philippines; and other guests.

Adnan Kazim stated: “The new Emirates World Store in Manila is designed to serve as a one-stop shop where customers can explore Emirates’ best-in-class products and services, and provides visitors a glimpse of our onboard hospitality and excellence, ensuring the bar is set high when it comes to retail experiences both in the Philippines and across our global network. The Emirates World retail store is part of our broader strategy to get closer to our customers as they plan their travel and create an elevated experience that is consistent with our brand.”

A notable feature of the store is the Emirates A380 onboard Lounge display. This allows customers to experience firsthand the premium touches defining Emirates' inflight luxury. Visitors can also explore a selection of Emirates-branded merchandise and travel accessories from the Emirates Official Store, including items from their latest NBA collection.

The store incorporates smart technologies that differentiate it from traditional travel retail spaces. It includes an interactive self-service screen for browsing flight options and checking availability.

The launch emphasizes Emirates' commitment to the Philippine market by providing high-quality service synonymous with being the world's largest international airline. The airline has launched similar retail spaces in Dubai, Hong Kong, London, and Nairobi with plans for further expansion involving an investment of AED 100 million over three years.

Emirates began operations in Manila in 1990 and expanded its services to Cebu and Clark. Currently offering 28 weekly flights with approximately 22,700 seats available weekly between Dubai and the Philippines, they connect travelers to over 140 destinations globally.

In addition to this development, last year saw an interline agreement with Philippine Airlines (PAL), enhancing connectivity within domestic points via Manila, Cebu, and Clark while offering PAL’s customers increased access to nine international destinations via Dubai including Amman, Birmingham, Cape Town, Dammam, Dublin, Lisbon, Manchester, Muscat, and Riyadh.
