Amazon Air, the cargo airline division of Amazon, has established key hubs at major airports around the world to enhance its logistics network. These hubs play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and expanding Amazon's global market reach. Each location was selected based on factors such as connectivity, infrastructure, and proximity to key markets.

Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ) in Germany serves as Amazon Air's central European hub. "Its position in Germany, one of Europe’s economic powerhouses, makes it ideal for supporting Amazon’s growing e-commerce demands in the region," according to Amazon. LEJ facilitates cross-border logistics across Europe with over 80,000 cargo flights annually and handles approximately 1.6 million metric tons of cargo.

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD) in Hyderabad is Amazon Air's first dedicated hub in India. This marks a significant expansion into Asia for the company. "India is one of Amazon’s largest and fastest-growing markets," states the press release. The airport handled nearly 150,000 metric tons of cargo between April 2023 and March 2024.

San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) is a strategic West Coast hub for Amazon Air in California. The location supports deliveries across Southern California and beyond. "California’s high demand for e-commerce services makes SBD a critical part of Amazon Air’s operations," according to the company.

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) is Amazon Air's largest hub in the United States. It serves as a central point for domestic distribution with over 165,739 aircraft movements reported in 2023. CVG plays an essential role in connecting U.S., European, and Asian operations.

Fort Worth Alliance Airport (AFW) serves as a vital hub for the southern United States. Known as the world's first purely industrial airport, AFW supports delivery operations throughout Texas and surrounding regions.

Overall, these strategic hubs are integral to Amazon Air's global logistics network by ensuring efficient delivery services worldwide.
