A Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 experienced an unexpected rollback at New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport after the flight crew reportedly forgot to set the parking brake. The incident occurred on November 25, 2024, involving aircraft registered as 9V-SKR operating flight SQ406 from Singapore Changi International Airport.

According to data from Flightradar24.com, the flight was uneventful until landing. After taxiing to the gate, the lack of a parking brake led to a backward roll, resulting in minor bruising for a cabin crew member. "The pilot immediately applied the brakes to halt the aircraft," confirmed a spokesperson for Singapore Airlines in a statement to Simple Flying. All passengers disembarked normally.

The airline's Airbus A380 fleet includes 12 aircraft, with this particular plane being 13.2 years old and configured for 471 passengers across four classes. As of August 31, 2024, it had logged over 50,000 flight hours and more than 5,000 cycles.
