With Christmas approaching, British Airways is enhancing its passenger experience with festive touches both at the airport and onboard. The UK flag carrier is introducing a holiday-themed menu for long-haul passengers on select routes, featuring "a traditional British turkey dinner with all the trimmings." Over 250,000 of these meals are expected to be served in four weeks, including over 700,000 Brussels sprouts and 40,000 pigs in blankets.

A vegetarian option will also be available alongside these Christmas dinners. Passengers can enjoy festive drinks such as Twinings Christmas tea and BrewDog's Hoppy Christmas IPA. Long-haul premium customers will have access to a special afternoon tea and winter warmer cocktail.

"Christmas is such a special time, and this year is no different. We want to make it truly special, so we have pulled out all the stops to spread some cheer and create a truly British Original Christmas," said Calum Laming, Chief Customer Officer at British Airways.

In First Class on long-haul flights during the holidays, passengers will receive "a limited-edition Alice Temperley amenity kit" inspired by starry skies and a collectible bauble from December 23rd-25th. Club World passengers can expect fudge from Cartwright & Butler during the same period. World Traveller customers will receive festive cutlery and a Christmas hat with their meal on flights departing from London between December 15th and 27th.

Short-haul passengers can purchase festive treats including "Tom Kerridge's ultimate turkey feast sandwich" and "The Jolly Hog' pigs in blankets' roll." Club World guests on short-haul flights can enjoy the festive menu from December 24th-27th.

On the ground, passengers flying from London Heathrow (LHR) and Gatwick (LGW) will find pop-up stalls in lounges offering special gifts. In the Concorde Room from December 23rd-25th, there will be an opportunity to sample 45-year-old Scotch whisky from Talisker.
