Jens Ritter CEO Lufthansa Airlines | Lufthansa Airlines

Effective January 1, 2025, Lufthansa Airlines will implement changes to its management structure at its Munich and Frankfurt hubs. Jens Ritter, CEO of Lufthansa Airlines, will take on additional responsibilities for operations at the Munich hub. Klaus Froese, currently Chief Operations Officer and Accountable Manager of the core brand, will assume responsibility for the Frankfurt hub.

Lufthansa Airlines is making these adjustments in response to significant operational challenges at both hubs that have affected quality during peak summer periods. The airline aims to enhance flight operations processes through a new structure with dedicated hub managers.

The initiative includes improvements in station and cabin management and better coordination and development of ground infrastructure and processes. The objective is to ensure stable, reliable, and punctual flight operations by fostering cooperation between Lufthansa teams and local partners during peak times. The focus on smooth operations is seen as crucial for boosting customer satisfaction.
