Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) are private versions of Boeing's commercial jetliners, serving the private, corporate, and head-of-state markets. The company first introduced its BBJ model in 1998, based on the 737-700 airframe. Since then, various narrow and widebody BBJ models have been developed.

The BBJ 737 is Boeing's most popular business jet since its introduction in 1998. Boeing has delivered over 150 units of the 737-based BBJ across different variants. Among these, the BBJ1 variant has seen significant sales. In subsequent years, additional models like the 737-800 BBJ and the stretched 737-900ER BBJs were launched to offer greater capacity and speed. "In 2014, Boeing announced it would offer BBJs based on the 737 MAX series," beginning with the MAX 8 in 2018 and MAX 9 in 2019.

The widebody BBJ 747 is known as "the world's largest private aircraft ever produced" and is used by government officials for transport. Based on the larger 747-8 airframe, this aircraft offers significant space and range capabilities but is no longer available following the end of production for its commercial counterpart.

For those seeking even larger options, the BBJ lineup includes models based on Boeing's long-range aircraft such as the iconic BBJ 777 series. Introduced in service in 2002, this model provides increased operational range for private customers. "With the introduction of the Boeing 777X jetliner," future deliveries are expected to expand capabilities further.

Another option is found with the lighter composite frame of the BBJ 787 Dreamliner variants, known for their fuel efficiency and low cabin altitude system. Orders for these jets total eighteen across two main variants—787-8 and -9—with sixteen delivered thus far.

These developments showcase how Boeing continues to adapt its commercial offerings to meet specialized demands within business aviation.
