For the 14th time, dnata has been recognized as the Ground Support Services Provider of the Year at the 2024 Aviation Business Middle East Awards. This marks the fifth consecutive year that dnata has received this accolade.

The award was accepted by Jaffar Dawood, dnata’s Divisional Senior Vice President for UAE Airport Operations. Dawood expressed gratitude, stating: “Receiving this prestigious regional award for the 14th time highlights our unwavering commitment to service excellence and ongoing investments in our people, infrastructure and the latest technologies. A sincere thank you to our entire team for their exceptional efforts in achieving this recognition. We will continue to go above and beyond to deliver the promises our customers make, supporting Dubai’s success and growth as a thriving global aviation hub.”

In recent years, dnata has focused on integrating new technologies across its global operations. The company has incorporated autonomous drones in UAE operations and AI-powered solutions in Singapore. Additionally, it continues to expand One Cargo, an advanced cargo management system, worldwide. Construction is also underway for dnata Cargo City Amsterdam in The Netherlands.

Efforts to improve environmental efficiency have been a priority for dnata. The company reports an over 8% reduction in carbon intensity per aircraft turnaround for its ground handling and cargo businesses during the financial year 2023-24. In Dubai, all non-electric fleet vehicles at Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum - Dubai World Central (DWC) airports have transitioned to biodiesel.

As a leading provider of air and travel services globally, dnata employs 28,000 staff members in Dubai alone. In 2024, they assisted over 91.8 million passengers at Dubai's airports—a growth of 5% from the previous year.

Dnata's airport hospitality brand marhaba has also expanded significantly by enhancing travel experiences for over 2.9 million passengers so far this year. With eight new airlines joining their roster in 2024, dnata now serves a total of 175 airlines in Dubai.
