FedEx has announced the launch of a new air route to strengthen connections between China and markets in India and Europe. The new route will enhance service flexibility and efficiency for Chinese customers on key trade corridors within Asia and Europe.
The new flights will operate five times a week, departing from FedEx's Asia-Pacific hub in Guangzhou, with stops in Bangalore, India, and the UAE before reaching Liège and Paris in Europe. This route is expected to provide more flexible services during peak holiday shipping periods, reducing transit time by one day for next-day delivery to southern India. It aims to benefit the high-tech and automotive industries while supporting Chinese businesses with stable import-export services to India and Europe.
China ranks first in contributing to global export growth. In the first 11 months of 2024, China's total goods trade value reached 39.79 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.9% year-on-year. The Asia-Europe corridor remains one of the world's busiest trade routes, with China leading in exports of machinery, electronics, and high-tech products.
