Delta connects Minneapolis-St Paul to major North American cities with Airbus A319

Delta Air Lines operates some of its longest Airbus A319 routes from Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport, connecting to destinations such as Mexico City, Tulum, San Jose, Vancouver, and Harlingen.

The route to Mexico City is the longest A319 service at 1,786 miles. This year-round service offers daily flights with a total of 96,360 seats available in 2024. Delta reported an average load factor of 83.7% for the first nine months of the year on this route.

Tulum follows as the second-longest route at 1,733 miles. Delta launched weekly flights to Tulum in December with plans to continue through April. Initially scheduled with Boeing 737-800s, the inaugural flight used an A319 instead. "With the new addition of Tulum...Delta’s upcoming winter schedule will offer MSP customers four new destinations to explore," stated Delta.

The third-longest route leads to San Jose Mineta International Airport over a distance of 1,576 miles. In December, only two A319 flights were scheduled before switching primarily to A320s. From January to September this year, Delta achieved an average load factor of 82.76%.

Vancouver is served less frequently by the A319 but remains part of Delta's network with regular services using various aircraft types including the A320 and Boeing models.

Harlingen ranks as another significant destination for Delta's A319 fleet during IATA's winter season from October to April. The airline recorded a load factor of 79.50% between January and May before pausing operations until October.

Overall, these routes demonstrate Delta's strategic use of its Airbus A319 fleet for connecting Minneapolis–St. Paul with key North American destinations.
