Hyatt has finalized a partnership with Grupo Piñero, the owner of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, to expand its all-inclusive portfolio. This strategic venture will add 22 resorts and approximately 12,000 rooms to Hyatt's offerings. The Bahia Principe properties are located in Spain, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Mexico.

The partnership will eventually integrate Bahia Principe properties into the World of Hyatt loyalty program. This integration will allow members to earn and redeem points while enjoying elite status perks. No specific timeline for this integration has been provided yet.

Bahia Principe is popular among European customers due to its presence in the Canary Islands. The collaboration with Hyatt is expected to increase the popularity of its properties in Mexico and the Caribbean.

Hyatt has been expanding its all-inclusive portfolio since 2013 with brands like Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara. In 2021, it acquired Apple Leisure Group, adding over 140 properties across ten brands to its Inclusive Collection.

Hyatt is also negotiating with Playa Hotels & Resorts to potentially take over more all-inclusive properties in the Caribbean and Mexico.

All-inclusive resorts offer value and convenience for families, especially when using points for stays. Standard room rates at these resorts range from 12,000 points per night for off-peak Category A properties to 58,000 points per night for peak Category F rooms. It remains uncertain which categories Bahia Principe properties will fall under once integrated into World of Hyatt.
