Lufthansa is facing challenges with the introduction of its new Boeing 787 Allegris business class cabins. The seats, part of a recent upgrade, have not yet received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Despite this setback, the airline is contemplating using the aircraft without passengers occupying these seats until they gain certification.

The situation has created a less-than-smooth rollout for Lufthansa's updated cabin offerings, raising questions about operational decisions and regulatory compliance.
