Chase Freedom Unlimited cardholders await delayed double cash-back bonuses

Many Chase Freedom Unlimited cardholders who took advantage of the double cash-back offer between October 2023 and January 2024 are still waiting for their bonus cash back to post. Concerns have arisen due to unclear terms and conditions, as well as some Chase agents being unaware of the offer.

The good news is that the bonus should post by the end of March if it hasn't already. "With this offer you will receive a one-time bonus equal to all Cash Back rewards earned during your first 12 monthly billing cycles from account opening with your Chase Freedom Unlimited card. ... Please allow 6 to 8 weeks from the end of your 12th monthly billing cycle for bonus Cash Back rewards to post to your account."

For example, if a card was opened on December 1, 2023, with a first statement closing date of January 1, 2024, the bonus should be received by February 1, 2025. Cardholders can check their statement history online or contact Chase for assistance.

One real-life example involves an individual who applied for the card on December 6, 2023. Their first statement closed on December 25, 2023, and their one-time bonus posted on January 25, 2024. Another data point from a Reddit user shows similar timelines.

TPG senior editorial director Nick Ewen is also awaiting his bonus after receiving an email notification last week. He noted that not only did his regular spending earn double cash back but also his Shop Through Chase earnings were doubled.
