Emirates has launched its Emirates World store in Cairo, marking the expansion of its travel retail concept in Africa and globally. The new store is located at 5A WaterWay in Cairo and was inaugurated by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, along with Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Centre. The event was attended by Her Excellency Mariam Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador; Pilot Montaser Mana, the Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation of Egypt; Amr Kady, CEO of Egypt Tourism Authority; and other guests.

Adnan Kazim commented on the significance of this milestone: “This year marks our fourth decade of operations. Egypt was one of the first five destinations that we launched to at the very beginning of our operations, and we are proud to further enhance our offering for customers with the inauguration of Emirates World in Cairo.”

Kazim also noted how their global retail strategy aligns with their 'Fly Better' promise: “Our global retail strategy is perfectly aligned with our ‘Fly Better’ promise, offering our customers the elevated hospitality they expect from Emirates, along with smart and efficient technologies, hands-on product displays and expert support and advice."

The Emirates World store in Cairo spans 332 square meters and brings a range of services closer to its customers. It features a design inspired by the airline's inflight experience, including a full-size showcase of the iconic Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge experience. Customers can access nine service counters for various needs such as travel planning and ticketing. The store also includes smart technologies like a ‘selfie mirror’ for taking pictures against scenic backdrops and self-service kiosks to reduce wait times.

For nearly four decades since its first flight to Egypt in 1986, Emirates has been an integral part of aviation, tourism, and trade in Egypt. The airline currently operates four daily flights to Cairo.
