Yesterday, a regional jet operated by GoJet Airlines under the United Express brand experienced an incident at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. The Bombardier CRJ550 aircraft, which had departed from Washington Dulles International Airport, veered off the taxiway upon arrival.

GoJet Airlines issued a statement confirming that "upon landing at St. Louis Lambert International Airport, GoJet Airlines flight 4427 slid off the taxiway before coming to a stop." Fortunately, there were no injuries reported and emergency crews promptly met the aircraft. Passengers were safely transported to Concourse A via buses.

The flight was operating with about 50% capacity on what is considered a low-demand travel day. The aircraft landed 28 minutes behind schedule after departing eight minutes early from Washington Dulles.

While this incident did not result in injuries or significant damage, it draws attention to potential challenges faced by regional jet operations in adverse weather conditions typical of winter months. Such incidents underscore issues related to smaller aircraft management and less experienced pilots compared to those flying larger jets.

Despite these challenges, the incident caused minimal disruption for passengers as they were not flying into a United Airlines hub, reducing the likelihood of missed connections.
