Dublin Airport has announced the name of its new mascot, a hare named "Dubby," following a public vote. The decision was revealed on February 11, 2025, after more than 10,000 votes were cast on social media. Dubby received 49% of the votes, surpassing other contenders Harry and Collin.

Kenny Jacobs, CEO of daa, expressed mixed feelings about the name but welcomed Dubby to Dublin Airport's team. Jacobs stated: "As a Cork-man I've mixed feelings about the name, but this is a top, top drawer signing for Dublin Airport and we're delighted to add Dubby to the squad."

The introduction of Dubby coincides with several developments at Dublin Airport. The airport recently unveiled "The Liffey Lounge," replacing the former T2 Lounge between Terminals 1 and 2. This opening marks the beginning of an extensive overhaul of lounge facilities at the airport.
