Solo travelers with a penchant for luxury have new options to consider in river cruising. Riverside Luxury Cruises is waiving the single supplement on select suites across its entire fleet, addressing a common issue where solo travelers face hefty fees intended for two passengers.

"We recognize that solo travel is an important and growing trend, and we at Riverside are committed to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for all our guests," said Jennifer Halboth, CEO of Riverside Collection Americas. "By waiving the single supplement on select suites across our entire fleet, we aim to make river cruising more accessible to solo travelers, including women who are looking to explore Europe independently. "

The waiver applies to select suites on the 162-passenger Riverside Mozart and the 110-passenger Riverside Debussy and Riverside Ravel. These ships offer all- suite accommodations featuring king-size beds, floor-to-ceiling windows, and upscale furnishings.

Suites available to solo cruisers include the 219-square-foot Harmony Suite on Riverside Mozart, which features a sofa, espresso coffee maker, bathrobes and slippers, and a glass-enclosed rain shower. Single travelers can also book the Harmony Suite on Riverside Debussy and Riverside Ravel; both feature panoramic balcony windows that lower at the push of a button along with similar amenities.

Sample itineraries available without a single supplement fee include:

- Seven-night Danube Medley sailing visiting Vienna, Budapest, and Bratislava. Cruise fares start at $3,315 for solo travelers.

- Seven-night Rhone Rhapsody itinerary stopping in Lyon, Avignon, and Chateauneuf-du-Pape in France. Cruise fares start at $2,953 for solo travelers.

- Seven-night Romantic Rhine Northbound visiting Basel Switzerland; Rudesheim Germany; and Amsterdam. Cruise fares start at $4.,596 for solo travelers.

All itineraries feature late or overnight stays in some of Europe's most captivating towns offering guests extra time to explore local culture.

If you plan to book a luxury solo cruise soon note that availability may be limited due to high demand.
