Virgin Australia, founded in 2000, has grown to become the largest domestic airline in Australia by passenger market share. The carrier's loyalty program, Velocity, boasts over 12 million members.

The airline operates a fleet of 96 aircraft with an average age of 12.3 years, according to Planespotters.net. The youngest aircraft is a Boeing 737 MAX 8, delivered in August 2024.

The oldest aircraft is a Boeing 737-800, registered as VH-VOK. It was delivered to Virgin Blue in August 2003 and transferred to Virgin Australia in May 2011. Initially configured for single-class seating, it now features eight business class seats and174 economy class seats following updates in February2024.

Virgin Australia's business class offers recliner seats with a37-inch pitch and complimentary three-course meals accompanied by various beverages. Economyclass passengers receive complimentary non-alcoholic drinks with options topurchase food and alcoholic beverages.

Recent data from Flightradar24 shows that VH-VOK has operated flights on routes including:

The next-oldest aircraft are two other Boeing737-800s, registered as VH-VOLand VH-VON. These were also delivered to Virgin BlueinAugust2003 beforemovingtoVirginAustraliainMay2011.TheywereretrofittedinApril2024withthenewconfigurationofeightreclinerseatsinbusinessclassand162standardseatsineconomyclass.
