Mark Zuckerberg co-founder and CEO of Facebook | Wikipedia

Mark Zuckerberg is one of the most famous celebrities on the planet. Founder of Facebook, billionaire at 23, and the second-richest person in the world as of March 2025, Zuckerberg has achieved fame on a level that few can match.

Zuckerberg has earned an unimaginable level of wealth and has purchased some truly extravagant items, such as a Pagani hypercar, several multi-million- dollar properties, and a $200 million yacht. He is also known to be the owner of a 2021 Gulfstream G650ER, registered as N68885. It's a jet that has received significant coverage for its costs and excess.

However, what hasn't received as much coverage is the status of another jet, registered as N3880. This plane is a Gulfstream G700, manufactured in 2024. Public information about this plane is limited, and there is no official confirmation that Zuckerberg has any affiliation with it. When you start to connect the dots, however, the links seem almost certain.

How to know if this plane is his?

Jack Sweeney is a programmer who developed a program for tracking jets owned by public figures during his education at the University of Central Florida. Born in 2002, he tracked jets owned by names such as Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Drake, and many more.

Despite all the data he uses already being public information, he's faced public criticism from many of the famous individuals that he's traced and has even had his ElonJet Twitter account suspended. His Mark Zuckerberg tracking bot is active on another website, Bluesky.

It was Sweeney who first reported that the newly constructed N3880 belonged to Mark Zuckerberg. While it may seem odd to make such a decisive conclusion without official confirmation, the connections are strong:

  • Both N3880 and N68885 feature the same livery--a blue-and-white combination that strongly resembles Facebook's brand colors.
  • Both aircraft have the same FAA-registered owner: A7P Trust Co Inc Trustee.
  • Both planes are operated by Solairus Aviation flying with a TWY callsign.
  • Both jets primarily operate out of San Jose and Monterey in California.
Records do not indicate any changes of ownership regarding the G650ER which continues to see heavy use. As such this means that Mark Zuckerberg owns two planes simultaneously.

Why keep this concealed?

Private jets are simply bad publicity in today's world. While there are measurable benefits for executives using private aircraft such as time savings and direct routings not flown by airlines this usually receives less emphasis by public opinion which instead focuses on high costs along with environmental impact associated with flying privately.

While modern aircraft like Gulfstream's G700 are very efficient within their category being typically smaller than commercial counterparts these planes own carry only handfuls passengers at most compared against Airbus A319 popular airliner slightly bigger yet configured seating between130-150 passengers thus even older heavier airliners burn more fuel impact spread among many more people minimizing each person's emissions not taking into account huge planes often used flights far shorter advertised ranges
