Boeing 74 | Wikipedia

In 2025, only one in every 26 long-haul passenger flights to the US will be on an Airbus A380 or Boeing 747, a significant decline from one in 10 before the pandemic in 2019. This trend is attributed to technological advancements, the popularity of more efficient twinjets, and the impact of the pandemic.

Between April and December, seven US airports will host both aircraft types: Boston, Houston Intercontinental, Los Angeles, Miami, New York JFK, San Francisco, and Washington Dulles.

If all US flights aboard these two types are considered between April and December 2025, they will collectively have between 28 and 39 daily takeoffs. The highest figure of 39 is expected only on May 3, May 31, and June 21.
