Emirates Boeing 777-300ERs | Official Website

Emirates, known for its extensive fleet of Airbus A380s and Boeing 777-300ERs, operates numerous lounges worldwide to accommodate its premium passengers. The airline's hub at Dubai International Airport (DXB) in the United Arab Emirates hosts seven lounges, including the world's largest first-class lounge located on Concourse A. This lounge spans over 100,000 square feet and offers direct elevator access to each departure gate on the concourse.

The first-class lounge is accessible to those flying in Emirates' first class cabin and Skywards Platinum members. Business class travelers can upgrade their access for $175 ($150 for Skywards members), while economy class passengers can pay $300 per person ($250 for Skywards members). Inside, guests can enjoy complimentary dining options with dishes from around the world. Emirates highlights its offerings by stating: "Explore dishes from every corner of the globe while you wait for your flight... Our chefs use fresh, locally sourced ingredients to prepare your meals."

In addition to dining, the lounge features a selection of wines and champagnes similar to those served onboard. Other amenities include day beds, luxurious bathrooms, a spa area, duty-free shopping, a cigar bar, and a business center.

Emirates has also reopened its flagship lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) after a $5 million refurbishment. This 15,650-square-foot space accommodates over 250 guests and is available to first and business class travelers as well as eligible Skywards members. Emirates states that guests "can look forward to pre-flight rest and relaxation with upscale furnishings in the signature Emirates style."

Emirates began operations in Thailand in 1990 and currently runs five daily flights from Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) along with two daily flights to Phuket International Airport (HKT). The airline deploys both Airbus A380s and Boeing 777-300ERs on these routes.

Dubai International Airport ranks as the eighth-busiest route from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport by passenger numbers. In line with its strategic expansion plans, Emirates is growing its Airbus A350-900 fleet which will soon serve destinations like Tunis (TUN), Amman (AMM), Istanbul (IST), Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), and Oslo (OSL). Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates stated: “Our strategic A350 expansion across diverse geographies... leverages the aircraft’s operational flexibility and efficiency.”
