Long Beach Airport has launched an expanded live music program, LGB Live!, aiming to entertain travelers with local musical talent. The program began on March 27 with a performance by Acoustic Soul Express. It includes artists from various local high schools and the nonprofit Jazz Angels, bringing music to the airport’s indoor-outdoor concourse.

Mayor Rex Richardson highlighted the cultural significance of this initiative, stating, "Long Beach boasts a rich legacy of arts, culture, and music, and what better way to celebrate this than by greeting travelers with the sounds of our own local talents who embody the cultural heartbeat of our city." He further added that the program reflects Long Beach's commitment to live music.

The LGB Live! performances take place mainly post-security for ticketed travelers, with timings scheduled for Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. There are additional performances during busy travel periods. Travelers can find performance details on lgb.org/music.

Cynthia Guidry, Airport Director, emphasized the program's role in enriching the travel experience, mentioning, "Whether you’re departing, arriving, or just passing through, Long Beach Airport is proud to present some of the rich musical talent of our Long Beach community." Musicians are selected based on criteria such as genre and style, with a focus on local talent.

Long Beach is a vibrant city along the Southern California coast, known for its scenic beaches and significant cultural landmarks. The city provides a mix of metropolitan amenities while maintaining a strong community sense.
