Norse Atlantic Airways has ceased its flights between London and Las Vegas. The airline has not disclosed the reason for stopping the service between London Gatwick and Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport, despite inquiries from Simple Flying.

The route was operated from September 12, 2024, to March 31, 2025, with three flights a week on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Aviation analytics company Cirium reported a total of 84 flights were completed, providing 28,392 seats during this period. The load factor averaged 78.3% between September and December 2024, a figure that does not necessarily guarantee profitability due to other cost factors such as ticket pricing and cargo revenue impacting success.

Norse Atlantic operates a fleet of eight Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, each configured to carry 338 passengers across two classes. British Airways remains the only airline with nonstop services from London Gatwick to Las Vegas, and both British Airways and Virgin Atlantic continue to offer direct services from London Heathrow.

In parallel, Norse Atlantic recently launched a new route from Rome to Los Angeles on April 1, 2025. The route spans 5,521 nautical miles, taking over 14 hours to complete. Bjørn Tore Larsen, the CEO, introduced the new route as an exciting opportunity for passengers to explore the historic and cultural energies of both cities.

"The airline will commence operations on June 3, 2025, coinciding with the start of the highly lucrative travel period."

Norse Atlantic, founded in March 2021, serves 13 destinations, including four locations in the United States. The Rome to Los Angeles route complements the services provided by ITA Airways, the only other airline offering nonstop services between the two cities with its Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

The cessation of the Las Vegas route comes amidst Norse Atlantic's expansion into new markets, aiming to fill the void left by Norwegian's exit from the long-haul sector.
