A tragic plane crash in Boca Raton, Florida, occurred on Friday, April 11. The crash involved a Cessna 310R aircraft, resulting in the deaths of all three on board. The aircraft crashed due to reported mechanical issues shortly after taking off from Boca Raton Airport. Additionally, a pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized.

The Cessna 310R, which took off at around 10:13 local time, had planned to fly to Tallahassee International Airport. However, it encountered problems and remained in the vicinity, attempting to return to the airport before it crashed at approximately 10:20, near Glades Road and Military Road.

Eyewitnesses documented the crash site in flames and debris scattered across the area. The Boca Raton Police Department reported road closures nearby, with both the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration investigating the crash.

The aircraft, registered as N8930N, was owned by Reprop LLC 310 Series. The Cessna 310R model, last produced by Cessna from 1954 to 1980, is noted for its twin-engine capabilities and capacity for six passengers. Performance specifications of the model include a maximum range of 725 nautical miles, a maximum speed of 207 knots, and a service ceiling of 19,750 feet.
