Cathay Pacific will implement significant enhancements to its in-flight amenities starting August 2025. The airline announced that every seat on its aircraft will feature seatback inflight entertainment (IFE) and high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity. This move positions Cathay Pacific among a select few airlines worldwide offering such comprehensive services.

Guillaume Vivet, General Manager Customer Experience Design, stated: “This significant milestone reflects Cathay Pacific’s long-standing commitment to and leadership in innovation and customer-centric design. We understand the importance our customers place on having access to top-notch entertainment and reliable connectivity when they travel. Whether for business or leisure, our customers will soon have access to both award-winning entertainment and unparalleled connectivity onboard all of our flights, making their journeys as memorable as their destinations.”

Cathay Pacific first introduced seatback IFE in 1992 and has continued to innovate in this area. Recently, the airline added 4K HDR displays, offering ultra-high-definition screens and a broader color range for an immersive viewing experience. Passengers in First or Business class and Cathay Diamond members can also access complimentary Wi-Fi services during flights.
