Passengers at Brisbane Airport now have access to a new lounge, courtesy of Escape Lounges, a brand known in the UK and US. This marks the company's first lounge in the southern hemisphere, inviting travelers from all classes to experience its offerings. The lounge does not require one to be a premium ticket holder or possess elite airline status; instead, access is available for a fee.

Brisbane Airport praised the lounge as "the first fully designed, built, and managed Escape Lounge in Australia and in the Southern Hemisphere", integrating the region's aesthetics. Craig Ping, VP Growth for CAVU Experiences, stated, "Building our first Escape Lounge in the Southern Hemisphere is a proud milestone, and we’re thrilled to be doing so in partnership with Brisbane Airport. Together, we’ve created a space that embodies the spirit of Queensland while offering the comfort, service, and attention to detail that Escape Lounges are known for."

Entry costs AU$ 65 (US$ 41.30), allowing access up to three hours before departure with refreshments included. Offering work and relaxation facilities to suit various travelers, the lounge operates from 05:00 to 01:00 local time on Brisbane Airport's International Terminal mezzanine level.

With this addition, Brisbane joins Cairns Airport as the second Australian site for Escape Lounges. Escape promises a "locally inspired menu filled with a variety of hot and cold dishes" and a drink selection to all guests. Aviation enthusiasts can enjoy runway views, while the zoned seating accommodates diverse traveler needs. Toby Innes from Brisbane Airport notes, "People are in for a treat in this comfortable and inviting space."
