Delta and LATAM, two major airline carriers, have announced the expansion of their Joint Venture to include Argentina. Building on two years of partnership, this move aims to enhance travel connectivity between the United States, Canada, and Argentina. The expansion will open up access to over 200 destinations across these regions, promising seamless travel experiences for customers.

The agreement enables Argentine customers to connect to Delta’s extensive North American network and earn miles through both Delta SkyMiles and LATAM Pass programs. This strategy highlights the airlines' joint commitment to offering improved value and services in the region.

A key feature of the expanded partnership is the reciprocal benefits for SkyMiles and LATAM Pass members. Currently, SkyMiles members can use their miles on LATAM flights. Soon, LATAM Pass members will be able to do the same on Delta flights. Frequent travelers with elite status will also gain access to Delta Sky Clubs and LATAM Lounges, along with other advantages such as priority check-in, boarding privileges, added baggage allowances, and free seat selection.

Moreover, this expansion enhances cargo services between Argentina, the U.S., and Canada. The collaboration between the two airlines offers more flight options and streamlined logistics for cargo customers.

The necessary regulatory approval for this venture in Argentina has been obtained. Both companies have also completed notifications required for post-implementation evaluation by Argentina's National Commission for the Defense of Competition.
