Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) recently recognized several aircraft operators at Van Nuys Airport for their efforts in minimizing aircraft noise. The operators have not breached LAWA's Noise Abatement and Curfew Regulation, Non-Additional Rule, or Noisier Jet Phase-Out. Their compliance rates stand at 99% or higher with the No Early Turn and Quiet Jet Departure Programs, also adhering to the Quieter Nights Program introduced in 2021. This program requests jet operators to avoid flights between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Crystal Lee, LAWA's Deputy Executive Director for the Airport Development Group, Sustainability, Energy, Environmental and Development Services, stated, "These winners have been instrumental in minimizing aircraft noise and play an important role in helping our neighbors maintain their quality of life." Lee added that in 2024, the operators reduced their cumulative net nighttime jet operations at VNY by 21 percent, underscoring their commitment to quieter, friendlier operations for the community’s benefit.

In 2024, 26 operators received the Friendly Flyers recognition, including four first-time winners: ATI Jet, Inc., MC Group, OKVS, LLC, and Ventura Air Services, Inc. The remaining 22 operators are repeat winners, which include names like Chrysler Aviation, Inc., Clay Lacy Aviation, and XOJET Aviation LLC.
