American Airlines has introduced a new promotion available to select members of its AAdvantage program. This initiative gives participants an opportunity to fast-track their journey to elite status, or alternatively, to gift elite status. The promotion awards bonus Loyalty Points at specified earning levels, potentially leading a member to attain AAdvantage Executive Platinum status, depending upon their points accumulation.

The offer includes a bonus structure: 35,000 Loyalty Points are awarded upon reaching AAdvantage Gold status (40,000 Loyalty Points), which can elevate a member to AAdvantage Platinum status. Earning 75,000 Loyalty Points grants an additional 50,000 Loyalty Points, facilitating a member's advancement to AAdvantage Platinum Pro status. Further, achieving 125,000 Loyalty Points results in a 75,000 Loyalty Points bonus, sufficient for attaining AAdvantage Executive Platinum status.

Participants may opt to gift AAdvantage Gold, Platinum, or Platinum Pro status upon reaching these milestones. The gifted status will remain effective until February 28, 2027. There are anecdotal claims regarding an option to gift AAdvantage Executive Platinum status upon earning 200,000 Loyalty Points, although this has not been verified by The Points Guy.
