On April 19, 2025, Fairmont Xiamen officially opened, marking the arrival of the first Fairmont-branded hotel in Fujian Province. The hotel is a joint project between Xiamen Airlines and ACCOR, a French hospitality group. According to Zhao Dong, Chairman of Xiamen Airlines, "This is a strategic move by Xiamen Airlines to meet the high-quality cultural and tourism service demands of Xiamen." The opening of Fairmont Xiamen aligns with Xiamen Airlines' initiative to upgrade its "air-to-ground integrated" service ecosystem, enhancing the cultural and tourism landscape in Xiamen and Fujian Province.

Located in the Xiamen Cross-Strait Financial Center, the hotel benefits from proximity to Guanyinshan and Wuyuan Bay business districts. The exterior, designed by Norman Foster's team, features interwoven Danxia red lattices that mirror Mount Wuyi. Guests are greeted by a blend of Hollywood deco art and Nanyang elements, reflecting both international and Eastern aesthetic influences.

Spanning 60,000 square meters, Fairmont Xiamen offers 414 rooms and suites with views of the city and sea. The hotel features five unique dining options, integrating Fujian cuisine with international flavors, and over 3,100 square meters of meeting spaces equipped for various events. It is designated as the official hotel for the Wanda Diamond League Xiamen Meeting.

Jerry Mong, General Manager of the hotel, stated, "For 118 years, the Fairmont brand has been one of the 'most storied' hotel brands in the world." He anticipates that the brand's legacy will "spark new vitality" when combined with Fujian's local culture.

Zhao emphasized that this collaboration was more than brand integration, aiming for a fusion of service chains. He noted that Fairmont Xiamen will be crucial in "Xiamen Airlines' better life" ecosystem, serving as a new driver for the international business travel industry in Xiamen and setting a benchmark for Fujian's cultural and tourism development. Xiamen Airlines hopes to leverage its global route network to attract international travelers, thereby helping them "understand, appreciate, and fall in love with China."
