Delta Air Lines has introduced a new feature for passengers in its Comfort+ cabin on long-haul flights. Starting today, travelers booked in this cabin on transoceanic and long-haul Hawaii routes can preselect their meals. This option, with some exceptions, is now available for flights offering meal services.

An email will be sent to passengers a week prior to their flight, providing a link to choose their meals. Meal options for international flights will be updated monthly. Travelers can also make their selections through the FlyDelta app starting seven days before departure. However, the final meal choice must be confirmed within 24 hours of the flight.

"At Delta, we know our customers value choice when it comes to their travel experience," explained Stephanie Laster, Managing Director of Onboard Culinary Experience. She added, "This exciting enhancement is part of our ongoing efforts to deliver a best-in-class customer experience from nose to tail."

Delta’s move aims to "further elevate and differentiate the Comfort+ customer experience." However, this service will not be available for shorter routes like those to Keflavík International Airport in Reykjavik and Colombia's El Dorado International Airport.
