Newark Liberty International Airport is a key hub for United Airlines, serving as a major domestic and international gateway. The airport plays a crucial role in United's transatlantic network, connecting passengers between the US and Europe. Additionally, it operates some of the airline's longest routes to destinations like Johannesburg, Cape Town, Delhi, Dubai, and Tokyo.

United Airlines' route from Newark to O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg covers 7,988 miles with 31 monthly flights. This route serves business travelers and tourists while providing significant cargo opportunities.

The Newark to Cape Town route spans 7,816 miles with 14 monthly flights. Initially seasonal, this service has become year-round due to strong demand. It caters to both passenger traffic and cargo needs.
